Torke Cycling Torque Analysis / EMG

November 13 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

How to analyse torque data as well as introduction to some of the market leading technology – the fundamental principles of human force production and relates them to the specific conditions of upright cycling

Course Outline

Torke Cycling Torque Analysis takes the fundamental principles of human force production and relates them to the specific conditions of upright cycling.

·         High end education for performance oriented fit

·         Experience needed

·         Participant from all over the world

·         Small groups (max 10 people – Flanders, 4 people – Bath)

·         Theoretical and practical (50/50)

There are many ways to look at force production including pedalling smoothness, efficiency, average torque angle and peak torque force. Understanding what these measurements are and how they relate to a cyclist’s ability to create power is essential for using torque analysis to direct bicycle fitting decision making.

Course Outcome

·         Which muscles do the work in cycling

·         Torque analysis, what does it tell

·         Relation between torque diagrams and position

·         Torque analysis vs muscle activation (EMG) and position

·

Extras

Although the education is 100% independent of any tool or parts manufacturer in the education some techniques and products will be shown and demoed at Flanders Bike Valley training

·         Products – Tools used

·         Gebiomized pressure mapping (foot + saddle)

·         Currex insoles

·         G8 insoles

·         Bikefit wedges, pedals spacers, etc

·         Cobb saddles

·         Forza components

·         Bikesettings tools

·

·         IBFI Credits 40
