Gary Allan Gary started Bikefitting in 2010 shortly after being asked to assist the the 2012 GB Triathlon Team preparations at Southampton University. Gary spent a week working under British Triathlons Mark Pearce along side Retuls John Dennis with hands on input from Chris Boardman. He worked on Rider Fit, positioning and Aero analysis. Gary trained in Bikeftting in 2013 with the original Bikefit system (the second oldest system in the world) under founder Paul Swift's tuition progressing through the level one and advanced level two courses. He has completed the Complete Fit Fitting course with bikefitting.com, part of the Shimano fit system Trek Precision fit and Specialized Retul Fit Theory courses and is Torke fit certified trained in foot pedal activation . The fitting studio draws on Gary's 45 years experience as an independent cycle retailer and competitive cyclist. Racing in road, cross country mountain biking, time trials , and in cyclo cross achieving regional titles and a national medal in the discipline. Gary offers a bespoke hands on client based holistic and more individual fitting service, less rule of averages or to a set fit of biometrics to optimise an individuals position based on their morphology, flexibility and level of and type of riding discipline. Bikefits are tailored to the individual, adjusting the bike to the rider. Fits are carried out on a purely custom fit platform with wheel riser or a retul mauve bike. Motion capture and video analysis tools are used, laser pedal tracking and computrainer power and spin scan pedal analysis are also offered alongside more traditional tools and time served methods to assess position. A saddle fitting service is offered with Digital sit bone measurement. A comprehensive saddle library is stocked. A range of off the peg insoles and custom heat moulded foot beds are stocked. A bike sizing service is offered using Bikefitting.com software.
