Matthew is a qualified physiotherapist, having graduated from Birmingham University in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. His specialism is in treating sports-related injuries and other conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system alongside his bike fit service offerings.
After he qualified, Matthew travelled and worked in relevant fields in Australia and New Zealand before returning home and completing a post graduate diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (awarded by Sheffield Hallam University). He is a member of the Manipulative Association of Physiotherapy, a dedicated sportsman and is particularly passionate about running, competing in triathlons and, of course, cycling.
Mathew has been delivering bike fit services for over six years after completing his first bike fit course in London and has pursued significant professional development via working with John Dennis in Newcastle and Paul Visentini at Physiosports. Matthew believes the experience and knowledge he brings to bike fit as a working, experienced physiotherapist is of huge benefit and raises his offering above the standard service.
Matthew website details his bike fit service in comprehensive detail, including information about the initial questionnaire, physiotherapy assessment, observation, measuring and adjustment processes. It also provides information about his physiotherapy offerings and sport massage.
